VIRGINIA DEPUTY HEADED TO PRISON FOR SMUGGLING

A Virginia Sheriff’s deputy will now be joining the prison population all for a few thousand dollars. Chesapeake Deputy Jenis Plummer Jr was sentenced on Monday to 2½ years in federal prison on charges that he smuggled heroin, cocaine, cellphone batteries, and electronic cigarettes into the jail. Prosecutors say the scheme started in July of 2017. Plummer smuggled a total of 37 grams of heroin and cocaine into the jail collecting about 65 hundred dollars.
