Virginia State Police are investigating a plane crash in Gloucester County that happened on Thursday. Troopers say the single-engine plane crash occurred just after 5:00 p.m. at the 3500 block of Providence Road. There were two people aboard and neither one was injured in the crash. The aircraft sustained significant damage but landed right side up. Abingdon Volunteer Fire & Rescue crews responded to the crash.
