A Gloucester man has been arrested after being accused of raping a North Carolina woman who he met online in a Newport News parking lot. 23-year-old Ryan Randolph was taken into custody this week by Newport News Police, after an investigation in connection with the rape that allegedly occured on September 23rd. The victim originally reported the case to the York County Sheriff’s Office. Newport News Police say their investigation revealed Randolph met the woman online and got her to meet him in Yorktown. Randolph they say, then drove the victim to a parking lot in Newport News and forced her to perform sexual acts. Charges Randolph now faces include abduction, rape, sodomy, and object sexual penetration.
