The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reports they’ve received information that a scammer has used the department’s non emergency number to seek donations. The caller ID displays the number 804-462-5111 and the caller says they are from the Lancaster Police Department. Officials say they never call to ask for donations so if you get one of these calls be aware it’s a scam and do not give out any personal information.
