COVID-19 Cases Set A New Record

Virginia hit a new one-day record of nearly 10,000 COVID-19 cases on Sunday. The rise in cases comes amid a significant increase in coronavirus-related deaths, with approximately 49 fatalities a day, or two deaths per hour, occurring in the commonwealth last week.There were over 43,000 new cases since Jan. 11 and 346 deaths last week. The Three Rivers Health District is beginning to administer COVID-19 vaccine to those in phase 1B.
