Lancaster County Public Schools officials announced last week that with the steady rise in COVID-19 cases and in consultation with the Three Rivers Health District they are cancelling participation in Virginia High School League winter sports for the 2020-21 school year. The district will work with winter sports athletes who are needing additional sports requirements for college athletics on a case by case basis. Officials are monitoring VDH and CDC School Metrics Data for decisions regarding the upcoming fall and spring sports schedules.
