The Northumberlund County Sherifff’s Office released its Citizen’s Report summarizing the department’s activities in 2020. Overall service calls were up 18.5% from 2019 and calls requiring an officer response increased by 32% from last year. Arrests were down in 2020 as were traffic stop along with traffic citations however DUI arrests increased by over a third from 2019. 11 Northumberland High School students participated in the department’s Explorers Program.
