Northern Neck Electric Cooperative officials are warning about a scam making the rounds where members receive a phone call and are told their service will be cut off if a payment is not made immediately over the phone. The cooperative never demands immediate payments during a phone call and will not ask for personal information such as a bank account or social security number. Beware of these calls and do not give out any personal information over the phone.
