A bill being considered in the Virginia Senate calls for background checks on those who are renting guns.[The legislation was proposed after two men died by suicide last year at an indoor firing range using rented guns. Proponents say if the men had undergone background checks, they would have been denied the rental because of their mental health history. The bill now goes to the Senate Finance Committee before heading to the entire Senate.
