The suspect in the 2017 death of Graham McCormick will be in court today for a preliminary hearing. According to the Rappahannock Record John Randolph Hooper of Richmond was indicted last December for elony homicide, involuntary manslaughter while operating a watercraft under the influence and failure to render aid. Investigators say McCormick was visiting at Hooper’s Irvington home when he was struck by a boat. A prior plea deal in 2019 was rejected by the court.
