The Virginia Department of Health is making changes in how the COVID-19 vaccine is distributed due to the ongoing dosage shortage. Commonweath Vaccine Coordinator Dr. Danny Avula says they will now start allocating doses based solely on percentage of population and local health departments have been told how much their district will receive. Avula says if supplies don’t increase it could take two to three months to complete vaccination of those in groups 1A and 1B.
