1st District Congressman Rob Wittman is asking Governor Ralph Northam to step up efforts in getting COVID-19 vaccine distributed to rural communities. Wittman sent a letter to the governor saying the vaccine’s storage and transportation requirement makes it harder to distribute the further away individuals are from urban centers. Wittman suggested distributing vaccine in batches to rural hospitals and conducting mobile vaccination clinics as examples of ways to improve availability in rural locations.
