Help is on the way to keep Virginians in their homes. Governor Ralph Northam announced yesterday that 524-million-dollars in federal funding is being provided to the Virginia Rent Relief Program. Tenants interested in applying for assistance can dial 2-1-1 from their phone for a self assessment. The funds could help people cover rent as far back as April of last year and up to three months in advance, but no more than 15 months total per household.
