More than 100 blankets were collected by the Northern Neck Family YMCA in a recent drive called “Warming Our Community – One Blanket at a Time” The new and gently used blankets are in the hands of the Interfaith Service Council which helps those in Northumberland and Lancaster counties who have no other resources available. Advocacy Committee Chair Mike Bombay tells the Rappahannock Record that with the success they’ve had with food drivesthey decided to try a blanket drive for Interfaith.
