The Virginia Department of Health is now sending text messages to those who tested positive for COVID-19 and provided a mobile phone number at the time of the test. Officials say the goal is to provide rapid results notification so quarantining can be implemented and others who may have been exposed can be notified. The texts will come from 804-336-3915 and will only be sent between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The service started last Thursday.
