1st District Congressman Rob Wittman announced he heard back from Postmaster General Louis DeJoy about service delays reported by residents in his district. DeJoy says the distribution center for the area hired 450 extra employees for the holidays and over 300 are staying employed through March 26. He also said they are taking other steps including moving processing to other less-busy centers and leasing vehicles to expedite deliveries. Wittman says he’ll continue to provide updates as he learns more.
