Tappahannock Police are investigating a shooting on Friday at the parking lot of the Fox Chase Apartments. 19-year-old Nigel Collins of Tappahannock was shot several times and was hospitalized in critical condition. Criminal investigators from both the police department and Essex County Sheriff’s Office were able to collect numerous pieces of evidence. The investigation resulted in 18 year-old Micen Williams of Essex County being taken into custody. He is being held without bond and is due in court today.
