Your trip to the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles will continue to be by appointment only – at least for the forseeable future. A DMV spokesperson says the appointment system will remain in effect until the state of emergency resulting from COVID-19 is lifted. The representative said at that point the department will look into re-establishing walk-in service. Many DMV transactions can now be done online.
