Middlesex County 6th grade science students participated in water quality testing this week through a partnership with Friends of the Rappahannock, They tested the pH, salinity, phosphate, and dissolved oxygen levels of water samples from the Rappahannock River, Dragon Run, and Urbanna Creek. The organization also helped conduct a lesson to demonstrate the importance of planting trees, plants, and grasses to help prevent erosion and improve water quality. The lesson was streamed live to remote learning students.
