New details are emerging on a bomb threat made at the Northern Neck Regional Jail. According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s office the threat maid by jail inmate John Wainwright came from a phone line installed under a federal law requiring jails to provide inmates a way to report sexual assaults. State Police brought in the bomb squad and no device was found. Wainwright is now facing a new felony charge for making the threat.
