Nearly a quarter-million dollar loan is awarded to a Kirmarnock low-cost housing development. The Rappahannock Record reports Petersburg Community Development Corporation Inc. received $240,000 through the Virginia Housing Trust Fund for Kilmarnock Village, a 24-unit complex built in 1984. Officials say they will put the proceeds towards renovation costs along with using tax credits and refinancing an existing government loan. The development was last remodeled in 2002.
