Solar power farm developers wanting to build sites in Lancaster County will have new rules to follow starting July 2. The Rappahannock Record reports the Board of Supervisors approved a solar power ordinance by a one-vote margin following a public hearing held late last month. The ordinance allows small-scale residential and agricultural/commercial solar by-right use, meaning generally permitted on their land. The ordinance resulted from a special exception request made by Rappahannock Solar on a property near White Stone.
