Lancaster School Board Finalizes ’21-’22 Budget

The Lancaster School Board approved a proposed fiscal year 2021-2022 operations budget which now goes to the county Board of Supervisors for its approval. The Rappahannock Record reports the board voted unanimously for the spending plan which includes a new math specialist position and a 3% pay increase for teachers and staff. Superintendent Dan Russell tells the newspaper the budget was revised from their February session with supervisors because Virginia is expected to increase funding.
