The Lancaster Broadband Authority has put up several no-cost WiFi internet sites which allow users to get high-speed internet access. According to Northern Neck News the solar-powered sites allow users to connect within 600 feet. The most popular location according to the Authority is on Augusta Street in Kilmarnock, which is averaging about two to four gigabits of usage per day. There are 4 sites currently operational with 3 others to be installed.
