More Virginia parents are delaying putting their kids into kindergarten. According to the Richmond Times Dispatch registration is down 13-percent compared to last year with part of that being attributed to COVID-19. Research done by the University of Virginia found delaying kindergarten is more common among families who are white, affluent and have sons. Those parents say giving kids more time in a less structured environment can actually benefit them in the future.
