Governor Ralph Northam may have had a bad case of writer’s cramp on Friday after signing 80 bills into law. They include measures to protect homeowners from foreclosure, shift municipal elections from May to November, provide financial aid to students regardless of immigration status, and repeal anti-women’s health restrictions on the commonwealth’s health insurance exchange. Northam thanked the General Assembly for their work on these issues and said he is proud to sign the bills into law.
