Governor Ralph Northam visited a Gloucester County elementary school on Monday just days before the one-year anniversary of his order to close all schools due to the coronavirus outbreak. The commonwealth had its first COVID-19 case on March 7, 2020 and Northam says while they knew very little back then about the virus and what would happen they now know so much more. The governor set a March 15 deadline for schools to resume in-person instruction.
