A heads up if you use the Downing Bridge over the Rappahannock River between Richmond County and the Town of Tappahannock during the overnight hours. Crews are doing repairs to the bridge deck and bridge joints between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. all this week. The work requires alternating one-way traffic and that’s being controlled via automated flagging assistance devices so plan for some extra time on that section of Route 360.
