The family of a Gloucester woman who died shortly after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine had a private autopsy performed last week. The daughter of Drene Keyes tells the Virginian-Pilot they decided to order the autopsy after none was conducted by the commonwealth. They hope the results will shed light on Keyes’ death and bring closure to the family. State officials said a full autopsy was not needed to determine Keyes’ cause of death.
