The Virginia Foundation for Health Youth awarded more than $101,000 to the Three Rivers Health District for its program teaching young people skills to make healthy, responsible, and educated decisions concerning tobacco/nicotine products, and other drugs. According to Northern Neck News the district’s “Too Good for Drugs Mendez Foundation Evidence-based Program” started 2 years ago and has reached nearly 1,300 students so far. This year the Northern Neck Boys & Girls Club’s first graders will participate in the program.
