The Department of Motor Vehicles issued a reminder that with spring on the way more motorcycles are out on the roads and all drivers should exercise extra caution. The department also says it’s important that riders always wear the proper safety gear including a helment that meets USDOT standards. Statistics show a rider without a helmet is 40% more likely to suffer a fatal head injury than a helmioted rider. Last year close to 90 motorcyclists were killed in accidents.
