Congressman Rob Wittman announced he has written House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas urging they take immediate action to end the surge of immigration along our southern border. Wittman cited Customs and Border Protection Data showing illegal immigration is up 28% since January and 173% since last year. Included in these numbers are many unaccompanied migrant children. Wittman says immigrants play an undeniably important role in America today but those seeking to enter the United States must do so legally.
