A man who survived the 2011 EF3 tornado that touched down in Gloucester County died just weeks before the storm’s 10th anniversary. Danny Strother was in a home on Hickory Fork Road when the tornado touched down leaving him with no chance to seek shelter. Strother was paralyzed from the chest down while his fiancee was hospitalized with back injuries. 6 News reports Strother died on April 1.
