A fire broke out last Friday at a Montross commercial building. Crews from the Westmoreland Volunteer Fire Department saw smoke coming from the roof of the building in the 100 block of Industrial Park Rd. and made their way inside. The fire was deep within the building and was quickly extinguished. No other buildings were damaged and there were no reports of injuries. 4 other fire companies assisted Westmoreland firefighters and all were on the scene for about 3 hours.
