The National Weather Service issues a Fire Weather Watch for Virginia and North Carolina as falling dew points and gusty winds will result in critical fire weather conditions Friday afternoon through early Friday evening. Officials say winds could blow around unsecured objects and pull down tree limbs which may cause power outages. All outdoor burning is discouraged. Gale Warnings have also been issued for Friday evening through early Saturday morning for most of the area waters.
