Governor Ralph Northam is throwing his support behind his predecessor as the person to succeed him this November. Northam called Terry McAuliffe the best to lead Virginia out of the economic recovery from the pandemic and cement the transformational changes Democrats have implemented since taking control of state government. An advisor to the Governor says the McAuliffe endorsement came after deciding between him and former Del. Jennifer Carroll Foy along with Sen. Jennifer McClellan. The primary election is in June.
