Pre-trial motions took place last week in the case of a man charged in connection with a 2017 fatal boating crash in Lancaster County. Rand Hooper of Richmond was indicted last December for felony homicide, involuntary manslaughter while operating a watercraft under the influence and failure to render aid. Investigators say Hooper was visiting at Graham McCormick’s Irvington home when Hooper crashed the boat which threw McCormick in the water resulting in his death. According to the Rappahannock Record the trial will begin June 21 in Norfolk.
