U.S. Census Finds Virginia Population Up 8%

The 2020 Census results are in and Virginia’s population is around 8% higher than it was in 2010. There are now just over 8.6 million people in the Commonwealth and it means there will be no changes in the allocation of U.S. representatives but once the full census data is released some congressional and legislative districts may change. A number of states including California and New York lost a congresional seat.
