Urbanna residents will not have access to the town pool this summer. According to the Southside Sentinel engineers found safety defects in the more-than-50-year-old pool and the Town Council decided to keep it closed while appointing a committee to research the costs and feasability for repairs. Town Administrator Garth Wheeler says he contacted three pool companies and none were interested in working on the old pool because of its condition.
