Va. Pauses J&J COVID-19 Vaccine Usage

Virginia health officials announced use of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is on hold out of an abundance of caution because the CDC and the FDA are investigating possible blood clots occurring 6 to 13 days after receiving the shot. Symptoms include a severe headache that does not go away, significant abdominal or leg pain that does not subside, or increasing shortness of breath. So far a half-dozen cases have been reported.
