The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention confirmed to the Virginia Department of Health it is examining the March death of a Virginia woman as part of its investigation into possible adverse side effects from the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. Six cases had been reported across the country but this is the first word that a death is linked to the vaccine. Virginia along with other states paused distribution of the J&J vaccine and will only use Pfizer and Moderna.
