Virginia AG Says It’s Legal For Colleges To Require COVID-19 Vaccines For Students

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring confirms that the commonwealth’s colleges and universities can require students to get the COVID-19 vaccine in order to attend classes in-person. Herring was asked about the requirement by a Fairfax County Delegate and said there’s no federal law stopping the requirement from being implemented. He also said administrators have authority from the General Assembly to take action in order to insure student’s safety and welfare.
