Westmoreland County lawmakers are applyiong for federal funding to pay in part for constructing two new wells. According to Westmoreland News the Board of Supervisors approved an authorization to apply for a $720,000 Community Development Block Grant. The total project cost is around $1.1 million, with the county providing another $335,000 in addition to the grant money. There’s been no word when the award will be made.
