Rappahannock Community College students and those at other community colleges will not be required to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine in order to come back to class this fall. The decision reached by the Virginia Community College system also applies to faculty and staff. Officials say while they encourage everyong to get vaccinated, putting a vaccine mandate in place could create student enrollment barriers. Masks will be optional for those who are fully vaccinated.
