June 8 is not only the date for Virginia’s Democratic primary, it’s also the deadline for for candidates to file paperwork with the Lancaster County registrar for the November elections. According to the Rappahannock Record those offices include seats on the school board and board of supervisors for Districts 1 and 5. County registrar Susan Jett says so far is only one candidate is certified and that’s for the District 5 school board seat.
