A Memorial Day service is set for 9:00 a.m. on Monday near the Essex County War Memorial in Tappahannock. Participants include the Essex County Woman’s Club, American Legion Post 64, and the Potomac Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America. In-person attendance will be permitted with masks required and social distancing being observed. You’re advised to bring your own seating. The ceremony will move indoors in case of rain.
