May is Foster Care Awareness Month and the Lancaster County Department of Social Services is looking for adults to become foster parents. Program coordinator Karen Butler tells the Rappahannock Record there are currently no foster parents in the county and it’s important for foster children to have a nearby family so they don’t get moved out of the area away from people they know.
