Mathews County Man Jailed For Life On Child Pornography Conviction

It’s life behind bars for a Mathews County man convicted on federal child pornography production charges. Prosecutors say William Hooper, Jr. and a Gloucester woman worked together in 2019 to produce images of child sexual abuse involving a 15-year-old girl and her 14-year-old friend. Hooper was also accused of recruiting other minor girls to pose for sexually explicit photographs. Hooper’s accomplice took a plea deal for her role and is serving a 23-year jail sentence.
