The Northumberland County planning commission signs off on the county’s first-ever capital improvement plan for fiscal years 2022-2026. The Rappahannock Record reports the committee held a public hearing on May 4 before unanimously votice to send the plan over to the board of supervisors for approval. The plan totals $5.3 million with around $1.8 million of that slated for 2022. Officials are hoping to obtain federal funding for most of that expenditure.
