Northumberland County Schools Back To 5-Day-A-Week Learning In Fall

Northumberland County Schools will be back to a 5-day-a-week schedule fior the fall. Superintendent Dr. Holly Wargo tells the Rappahannock Record 57% of middle school students are currently attending classes in-person as well as 71% of elementary students. The district’s 2021-2022 budget will be the subject of a public hearing conducted by the Board of Supervisors at 7:00 p.m. today at the county court house. The $20.3 million spending plan includes a 3% salary increase for teachers, staff, administrative faculty and personnel.
